Wellness Coordinator

In this position, you will have the opportunity to impact the lives of approximately 600 dedicated healthcare professionals across multiple locations including Lincoln Surgical Hospital, Nebraska Surgery Center, Sutton Dermatology + Aesthetics, and Eye Surgical Associates.

The Wellness Coordinator must be a champion for wellness setting a positive example and creating an encouraging environment for overall employee health and wellness.

Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday

Your key responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

  • Provides wellness coaching to employees regarding lifestyle/behavior changes and behavioral health issues, and assists employees with developing a wellness plan or selecting health improvement programs.
  • Utilizes specific claims analysis data, aggregate health risk assessment results and external benchmarks to identify appropriate health and wellness program activities for the organization’s population. Plan and manage designated activities.
  • Develops and communicates organization-wide wellness initiatives and objectives to create awareness and promote accountability for safe and healthy lifestyles and work practices.
  • Inspects and evaluates workplace environments, ergonomics, fitness equipment, and practices for compliance with corporate and government health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Responsible for the strategic development of project plans, goals, objectives, and success metrics for assigned programs.
  • Maintains awareness of new or changing laws and regulations to ensure compliance of all policies, procedures, and programs in regards to wellness, etc.
  • Proactively engages and networks with industry peers and fellow business associates for program benchmarking and best practices.
  • Participates in a variety of internal and external task forces, committees, meetings, and/or work sessions.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in related field, and progressively responsible experience in wellness or occupational health program management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Prefer national certification in a related health or wellness field, such as Certified Wellness Practitioner, Certified Health Education Specialist, etc.
